Access Routes for Hunters with Disabilities - Northcentral Region

Hunters and trappers with disabilities can find additional information on the Permits for Hunters with Disabilities page. Permitted persons can access state game lands using ATVs on these designated routes.


SGL 14 - Cameron County - 5 miles

The designated route includes the gated access roads from the parking lot across from Moore Hill cemetery through Jack Bell Hollow to a gate along East Hicks Run Road and includes the dead end at a food plot above Whippoorwill Hollow. Drive around the gates for access.

SGL 37 - Tioga County - 2.3 miles

Disabled Hunter Vehicle Access Rd on SGL 037 – Starting from Firetower Road (Richmond Twp., T713), travel to the top of the hill to SGL 37 Parking Lot #05 next to the radio tower. Turn left and travel through a brown gate to begin the Disabled Hunter Access on a game lands administrative road. Remaining on the main dirt and gravel roadway, travel 1.6 miles down to the intersection of Stephenhouse Road. Turn right at this intersection and travel 0.7 miles to the brown gate on the SGL 37 boundary. Hunters may exit the area by continuing north on the dirt road to Ives Run Lane. This Disable Hunter Access Road is one directional only.

SGL 59 - Potter County - 6.1 miles

Disabled Hunter Vehicle Access Rd on SGL 059 – Starting from Sartwell Creek Rd (SR 4001, Annin Twp, McKean County) approximately 1.4 miles north of Kio Hollow Rd intersection, turn on Game Lands administrative road Gunners Lane. This road ends at the intersection with Weimer Hollow Rd (Pleasant Valley Twp., T432). Gunners Lane has numerous gas well roads to the north, but these are not part of the hunter access road.

SGL 64 - Potter County - 3.1 miles

Disabled Hunter ATV Access Rd on SGL 064 – From Rte. 6, approximately 6 miles west of Galeton, turn on south onto Rock Run Road (Susquehannock State Forest). Travel on Rock Run Road for 2.7 miles and turn east (left) onto an unnamed dirt road. Travel 1.0 miles to SGL 64 Beech Flats Parking Lot #15. The ATV access route starts at the upper gate. From the brown gate, travel on the grass covered game lands administrative road for 1.9 miles. Turn right at the T intersection (uphill) and travel 0.2 miles. Turn left at the T intersection and exit the game lands along the same route used for entry.

SGL  75 - Lycoming County – 2.2 miles

Open to ATVs: Access points are from the English Run Road Hemingway Hill parking area and the Pine Run Road Double Gate parking area.

SGL 100 - Centre County - 3.5 miles

Parking lot off of Sand Road near the boundary with the Sproul State Forest. Go around the northern gate to Bougher Run Road, this designated route dead ends at Twin Hollows. Be advised that this route is also opened for all hunter access for the regular firearms deer season only.

SGL 134 - Lycoming County – 3 miles

Licensed Vehicles Only: Access is immediately past the Cabbage Hollow Road parking area 2.3 miles north of Hoppestown Road.

SGL 204 - Potter County - 5.5 miles

Disabled Hunter ATV Access Rd on SGL 204 – Starting at Moffit Road (Hebron Twp., T336) approximately 0.3 miles from intersection with East Carley Hill Rd (Hebron Twp., T306), enter the game lands administrative road (Ridge Road) beside a brown wooden gate labeled 204-20 next to Parking Lot labeled P7. Staying on top of the ridge, follow the signs for 2.8 miles and end at the Y intersection. ATVs must turn around at this point and exit the game lands along the same route used for entry. Access is restricted to Ridge Road only and ATVs are not permitted on any of the gas well or logging trails that branch off of the main route.

SGL 252 - Union and Lycoming counties – 2 miles

Open to ATVs: Access Points are from the Eastern most parking area off of Route 44 and just inside the game lands boundary off of Alvira Road.

SGL 295 - Clinton County - 3 miles

From the parking lot at the headwaters of Cherry Run off Cherry Run Road to the food plots at the top of Bear Run Hollow.

SGL 331 - Clearfield County - 2.5 miles

From the parking lot at the end of Pennington Road travel around the gate on the access road for a distance of 2.5 miles, approved route ends there at the posted signs.
