Licenses and Permits

2021-22 License Year: July 1, 2021-June 30, 2022

Though the Board has approved the use of digital licenses to be carried afield as an alternative to carrying certain paper licenses, digital licenses are not yet available.

Buy a License

Purchase your license in person at one of these License Issuing Agents. Most general and add-on licenses are available in-store. Exceptions are noted below.

Purchase your license online. Licenses purchased online may take up to 10 business days to arrive. Most general and add-on licenses are available on Exceptions are noted below.

*Verify your mailing address. A Hunting & Trapping Digest will be included with your license/permit purchase at no additional cost. The Digest is also available for printing and viewing online.


Special Hunt Applications

Some hunting opportunities at Middle Creek (Lancaster/Lebanon counties) and Pymatuning (Crawford County) wildlife management areas require additional application. Learn more


Licenses and Permits NOT available online

Antlerless Deer Licenses Information and Application. Applications must be made directly to county treasurers.

Permits for Hunters & Trappers with Disabilities. Licenses for resident veterans with disabilities are available only from county treasurers.

Change of Residency Application (PDF) - A change in residency status from resident to nonresident or from nonresident to resident automatically invalidates a person’s hunting or furtaking license 30 days after the change in status unless the licensee completes and submits a change in residency.
